In general data quality is a broad subject with many faces, often hidden and difficult to disclose. Data quality plays a different role in every company, every application and every project. A theoretical definition of data quality is that the data is missing, incorrect, not up-to-date or not timely. If you focus on the theoretical issue you may focus on the wrong issues. In a more pragmatic definition data quality refers to the fitness for business use. Business use may vary from marketing campaigns, customer contacts to compliancy efforts to master data management projects. Also the requirements for data quality vary.
For many companies Data Quality may represent burning as well as boring issues. For us those issues are interesting challenges that we enjoy tackling. We can operate effectively, due to our broad experience over the years and because we are experts in the technology we use.

Value to our customers
Very often data quality issues are difficult to solve for companies. Effective management of data quality issues are cumbersome because they are hard to identify and isolate. Also they appear in many different shapes, sizes and forms en investigating those is experienced as searching for 1001 needles in the haystack.

Our value to our customers is based on two components.

First is a broad experience in a large variety of projects. In each situation the data quality issues that are experienced are different in nature and different in complexity. The skills to address these complexities are what we offer. Meeting unknown challenges in these areas is our expertise.

Second is the effective use of technology where needed. We use the technology of Harte-Hanks Trillium Software and Harte-Hanks Global Address. They provide an extensive and advanced foundation to solve a variety of different data quality management challenges.
